The Oxford Veterans Home project replaced the existing facility with a new 252 bed skilled nursing home operated by the New York State Department of Health. Watts provided civil, site lighting, site telecommunications, and hazardous materials abatement engineering services associated with this $46 million project. Watts was a sub-consultant to Kideney Architects who were the prime design professionals for this project. The new home required relocation of several waterlines that traverse the site. New sanitary sewers were constructed to convey wastewater to the collection sewers and pump station. Watts prepared design for collection and treatment of storm water as well as a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Watts also provided asbestos abatement project monitoring and air sampling services during demolition and excavation of buried debris.
