We view Historic Preservation as a professional endeavor which preserves, conserves and protects buildings, landscapes or other crucial elements of the existing architectural environment that enhance a community’s historic and cultural fabric. We routinely work with, and implement the requirements of, the New York State Historical Building Code and the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards to successfully restore, rehabilitate or renovate buildings and landscapes that have national, state or local significance as historic structures and sites. Watts also has expertise in the integration of modern and sustainable design applications (required by LEED certified projects) within the overall scope of our Historic Preservation work.
